How to approach a scientific publication: Start with results and discussion (most effort needed), conclusions, followed by the introduction, then abstract (must be succinct, based and end with Materials and methods (least effort needed). Activity
Writing each session-Part 1: tense and syntax to be used for each session. Focus on Results, discussion. Writing Activity
Writing each session-Part 2: tense and syntax to be used for each session. Focus on the conclusion, introduction, abstract, tables, and figures. Emphasis on the importance of the Abstract, the most important part of a publication, effective literature review, and incorporation of relevant references. Writing Activity
Review of the Writing Process: cutting clutter, efficient and organized writing, overall formatting, avoiding plagiarism, and understanding the peer review process.

Dr. Jayashree Biswal, Ph.D.
Associate Research Scientist, Sai Life Sciences, Hyderabad
Dr. Jayashree obtained her Doctoral degree in Bioinformatics from Alagappa University, Karaikudi in the year 2022. Immediately after her doctoral defense, she joined Sai Life Sciences as an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry (CADD). Prior to this, she holds her Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Pondicherry University. During her doctoral stint, she worked on theoretical applications of Drug Discovery from identification of potential leads to successful patent filing of innovations particularly for cancer kinases. Her research interests include mainly Structural Bioinformatics & Computer-Aided Drug Design with over 20 quality-enriched works published in highly reputed journals.
Presently, at Sai, Dr. Jayashree is involved in different Drug Discovery projects to facilitate the identification of potential lead molecules that holds promise for successful drug development.
