- Identify the advantages and limitations of using AI tools in academic writing, and recognize when and how to use them effectively.
- Use AI tools to improve the clarity, coherence, and quality of their academic writing, while also avoiding common errors and pitfalls.
- Learn how to integrate AI tools into their writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to drafting and revising.
Curriculum Break-Down
How to approach a scientific publication: Start with results and discussion (most effort needed), conclusions, followed by the introduction, then abstract (must be succinct, based and end with Materials and methods (least effort needed). Activity

Writing each session-Part 2: tense and syntax to be used for each session. Focus on the conclusion, introduction, abstract, tables, and figures. Emphasis on the importance of the Abstract, the most important part of a publication, effective literature review, and incorporation of relevant references. Writing Activity
Review of the Writing Process: cutting clutter, efficient and organized writing, overall formatting, avoiding plagiarism, and understanding the peer review process.

Dr. Rohini D. Kitture

Dr. Rohini D. Kitture received her Ph.D. in Physics from University of Pune, India. After pursuing doctorate, she joined on a flagship project funded by DRDO, Government of India, at Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, India. She has published around 30+ highly cited research articles in various International Journals like Applied Physics Letters, IEEE Sensors, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, and International Journal of Nanomedicine. Besides international journals, she has also contributed to some international books, published by Springer, Elsevier, IOP etc. Extending the research beyond publication, a patent was filed on antimicrobial formulation, some product were developed and marketed. She has addressed various International conferences, including the Frontier Forum Meeting on Nanoscience 2017 at Dubrovnik, Croatia, ICNPM 2015 at Kottayam, Kerala, First Nano-Bio-Med 2011, Trieste, Italy.
